Owner Maurizio Tarantello has more than 32 years in the restaurant business and is intimately involved in every aspect of the restaurant’s operation, from picking the brand of olive oil used to the typically Italian welcome with which he greets diners.
Here, we cook the authentic Sicilian recipes Maurizio learned from his mother as a young boy when he would pick the herbs and vegetables she needed from the garden as she prepared lively family lunches in the sunshine.
Maurizio’s insistence on quality extends to personally inspecting every dish before it’s allowed to leave the kitchen. After all, it’s his name on the door.
